Sabiq Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

TonuxCorp does not collect any personal data through the app. There is no account, no Sabiq server, no advertising, no analytics or tracking tool, and no sale or sharing of data with third parties.

2. Data stored on your phone

To work, the app stores the following locally, in its private storage on your device:

• your prayer check-ins, streak and prayers to make up;
• your Quran reading progress and words to review;
• your fasts, intentions and days to make up;
• your charity journal and zakat calculations;
• your settings (calculation method, notifications, theme, Focus mode) and your city name.

3. Location

If you allow it, Sabiq uses your approximate location to calculate prayer times. The calculation runs on your phone. To show your city name, the coordinates are sent to the geocoding service built into the operating system (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android), under their own privacy terms. You can decline and pick your city manually.

4. Microphone

The “Compare your voice” feature records your recitation of a word so you can play it back and compare it with the reciter. The recording stays in a temporary folder on your phone; it is never uploaded or shared.

5. Focus mode (app blocking)

On iPhone, Focus mode uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls): you pick apps in Apple's picker, and Sabiq only receives anonymous tokens, without seeing app names or your usage.

On Android, with your “Usage access” permission, the app detects which app is in the foreground only to show the blocking screen during the periods you chose. This information is processed on the device, is not kept as a history and is never transmitted.

6. Notifications

Reminders (adhan, prayers, suhoor, fasts) are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No remote push service is used.

7. Downloaded content

The Quran text, translations and audio recitations are downloaded from public services (api.quran.com, audio.qurancdn.com and everyayah.com) and cached on your phone. As with any internet connection, these services receive your IP address and the technical details of the request; Sabiq sends them no personal data.

8. Backup

Your phone's automatic backup (iCloud or Google) may include Sabiq's data, depending on your system settings. Manual export creates a file you save wherever you like: it contains your data in plain text, including your charity journal. Keep it somewhere private.

9. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device as long as the app is installed. To erase everything, delete the app; any copies in your iCloud or Google backup are managed from your phone settings. TonuxCorp holds no copy, so there is nothing to delete on our side.

10. Children

Sabiq is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data about them.

11. Your rights

Since TonuxCorp collects no data, you keep full control of your information directly in the app and on your phone. For any question about this policy or your rights (Quebec Law 25, Canada's PIPEDA, the EU GDPR), contact us.

12. Changes

If the app evolves and this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its effective date.
